Advanced stabilization system for FOWT

About us

Global climate change requires a rapid transition to renewable energy. Wind, -and especially offshore wind, will be a major contributor. The largest growth in offshore wind will be in the FOWT area. Estimates say that up to 30,000 FOWTs will be installed / projected globally by 2050. In order for this to be possible, the costs of construction and O&M must be reduced and the service life increased. MSS will be a crucial contributor to technical and economic sustainability by optimizing these factors through active stabilization that compensates for both static and dynamic stresses on the structure.

SOV/CSOV

The technology has been used on ships for several years with very high user satisfaction among crews. The system is very reliable, energy efficient and requires minimal maintenance. Consequently, this in combination with floaters and at the same time used on SOV / CSOVs will result in greatly reduced costs for O&M on ships as well. The patented technology is developed- and owned by MRPC AS and Marine Stabilization Systems AS has global rights to use it for floating offshore wind.
